Help Our Hugo Boy and His Family

Our world changed on 9th February 2026, when our beautiful 3 year old Hugo was diagnosed with Leukemia, a type of blood cancer. The news was devastating and since then it has been a whirlwind.

Hugo is now undergoing intensive treatment including chemotherapy, strong steroids and other medications. The treatment that is helping him fight the illness is also incredibly tough on his little body, leaving him feeling very poorly and exhausted and completely changing his character.

The treatment has already taken a lot from him. Hugo has lost his hair through chemotherapy and in a moment that showed the incredible bond between them, his dad shaved his own head so they could face it together.

Hugo also has a Hickman line in place, meaning he must be carefully protected from falls or injury. This requires constant supervision and extra care every single day.

Hugo is a little boy who absolutely loves superheroes, especially Spider Man and Iron Man. He talks about them, looks up to them and loves everything about their strength and bravery and right now, Hugo is showing that same strength himself.

His courage through everything he’s facing has already been undeniable. Hugo is fighting with a strength that inspires everyone around him.
Our Hugo boy, our real life Super Boy.

Hugo is beginning to realise he looks a little different now. He misses nursery, he misses playing with his friends and he is starting to feel the real impact of everything he is going through.

In what feels like the blink of an eye, life for this family has completely changed. Days that should be filled with school runs, playtime and ordinary family moments are now filled with hospital appointments, treatments, uncertainty and unimaginable worry.

At the centre of it all is his incredible mum Charlene, who is doing everything possible to stay strong for her children while navigating the emotional and practical challenges that come with Hugo’s treatment.

Hugo’s twin brother Toby and his big sister Grace are also trying to adjust to a world that suddenly feels very different. Their routines, their home life and the sense of normality children rely on has been completely turned upside down as the family focuses on Hugo’s care and supporting one another through it all.

Funds raised will help ease some of the pressures, making Hugo’s life more comfortable.
It will also help with transport costs, time away from work and to ensure his siblings are also receiving everything they need. As well as creating a small fund for uk trips, days out, things to simply look forward to on, which Hugo hangs onto in his heart each day.

Most importantly it will give the family the space to focus on what matters most supporting Hugo through his treatment, caring for Grace and Toby and finding strength together during this incredibly difficult time.

We pray every day that Hugo continues responding well to treatment and that brighter days are ahead.

If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it will mean so much to Hugo and his family. If donating isn’t possible, please consider sharing this page so that Hugo’s story can reach as many people as possible. Every share helps give our little Super Boy more support in his fight.

Thank you for supporting our Hugo Boy, our real life superhero
