I’m at the bottom now & this I thought could be a lifeline.
Having worked in the same restaurant for 22 years, we decided to take the plunge & buy it. Everything we could went into it over the period 2008-2017, difficult times but perseverance, loyalty from the team, help from family & the continued brilliant food we just couldn’t go on. The bills were stacking up, we couldn’t pay & then we only went & won best restaurant in the Cotswolds 2017!
An unexpected joy , but just a bit too late to stop the bank repossessing
now its sold at action for 30% of what we paid in 2008.
Our house (in the middle of our street) is now on the table for the bank. I still can’t believe after a 30 year career as a chef, the joy we gave to thousands of guests has left my family like this.
we owe £230k to the bank, so I’m desperately trying to cut a deal to save our home.
they will only listen if we have a lump some to put down on the table, so please if you or someone you know can donate anything it would really help us
