Our Home Was Lost to Fire – Please Help Me and My Autistic Son

Hi, my name is Darlene, and I never imagined I would be in this position. Our home recently caught fire, and we lost almost everything. All of our clothes and personal belongings were heavily damaged by fire and smoke, and we are currently without stable housing. I am a single mom to an autistic, nonverbal son who depends on routine and stability. This sudden loss has been extremely difficult for him, and I am doing everything I can to keep him safe and calm during this traumatic time.

Right now, we urgently need help with temporary housing, clothing and basic necessities, replacing essential items, and saving for a deposit on a new place to live. We do not have renter’s insurance, and we are starting over from nothing. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our story.
