While at home a malfunction in the fire sprinkler system suddenly sets them off flooding our apartment. We watched helplessly as muddy dirty water poured in and ruined everything in the apartment—our furniture, precious keepsakes, important documents, and more. In that moment, we could only stand by and watch our home being destroyed.

This disaster has taken a heavy emotional toll on us, especially on my newborn and my wife, who experienced the shock and fear firsthand. Our once-safe home has been turned into a scene of devastation, leaving us with nothing but painful memories of what we’ve lost.

We are reaching out for your help to start rebuilding our lives. Your donation will go towards replacing our lost belongings, finding temporary housing, and supporting our slow recovery, both physically and emotionally. Mientras estábamos en casa, un mal funcionamiento del sistema de rociadores contra incendios se activó repentinamente, inundando nuestro apartamento. Observamos impotentes cómo el agua sucia y fangosa entraba y arruinaba todo en el apartamento: nuestros muebles, recuerdos valiosos, documentos importantes y mucho más. En ese momento, solo pudimos quedarnos allí y ver cómo nuestro hogar era destruido.

Este desastre ha tenido un fuerte impacto emocional en nosotros, especialmente en mi recién nacido y en mi esposa, quienes vivieron el susto y el miedo de primera mano. Nuestro hogar, que antes era un lugar seguro, se ha convertido en una escena de devastación, dejándonos solo con dolorosos recuerdos de lo que hemos perdido.
