Help Cebuanos in Our Hometown Recover From Typhoon Tino

Our home in Cebu was devastated by Typhoon Tino.
Over 1,000 people in our barangay, San Isidro (Talisay), have lost access to their homes, food, and clean water. We’re raising funds to provide cooked meals, drinking water, and sanitary kits directly to those affected.

Even a few dollars can make a difference—$5 can feed two people or provide water for a family.

Our Home Needs Your Help
Our home in Cebu was devastated by Typhoon Tino. San Isidro is a barangay (village) in Talisay City on the island of Cebu, in the Central Philippines.

In just 24 hours, the storm unleashed a month’s worth of rain, taking 114 lives and leaving thousands without shelter. Our barangay, San Isidro in Talisay, where most of our friends and family still live, experienced significant destruction. More than 1,000 people are currently displaced—without homes, food, clean water, or basic necessities. Many areas in San Isidro remain without electricity and families are staying in temporary shelters or with neighbors as they wait for assistance. Roads are flooded or blocked by debris, making it difficult to deliver relief to some parts of the community.

Our immediate family—our siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives—are safe. But our neighbors and community need urgent help.

Our family told us how residents had to climb to the safety of their roofs as floodwaters rose, watching their homes—and their lives—swept away by the typhoon. Despite losing so much, everyone is working together to rebuild and recover, sharing food, shelter, hope, and gratitude.

How You Can Help
We are raising funds to help our family on the ground distribute cooked meals, clean water, and sanitary supplies directly to those affected in San Isidro, Talisay. Every contribution—big or small—can make a real difference. The more we raise together, the more families we can reach.

Here’s what your donation can do:
• $5 (≈ ₱300) – provides around 2 meals or 10–15 bottles of water
• $10 (≈ ₱590) – provides around 4–6 meals or 24 bottles of water
• $20 (≈ ₱1,200) – provides around 8–12 meals or 47 bottles of water
• $50 (≈ ₱3,000) – provides around 19–29 meals or 117 bottles of water
• $100 (≈ ₱5,900) – provides around 39–59 meals or 235 bottles of water

(based on 500 mL bottled water prices)

All donations will be collected here in the U.S. and sent directly to our family in the Philippines, who are leading local aid and relief efforts in our barangay, San Isidro, Talisay. They’re working closely with our uncle, a barangay official, and community volunteers to distribute food, clean water, and other essential supplies as quickly and efficiently as possible.

How Your Donation Will Be Used
• Cooked meals – Only cooked meals will be distributed since many families have lost access to cooking appliances and electricity.
• Clean water – Essential drinking water for displaced residents.
• ⛑️Sanitary kits – Basic hygiene and sanitary items for families in need.

Even Sharing Helps
We know that donating is a privilege not accessible to everyone. We are deeply grateful for your time and compassion.
If you can’t contribute financially, please help by sharing our link and continuing to raise awareness about Cebu and the rest of the Central Philippines as they recover from this devastating climate disaster.

Rebuilding will take time, but every donation helps someone back home find the strength to start again.

Maraming salamat! (Thank you very much)

With hope and gratitude,
