Our Hero Jeff
Donation protected
16 years ago my husband was given a 1% chance of surviving cancer. Our spirits were broken until a loving, humble, enthusiastic stranger came over and told us his story of surviving head and neck cancer with a 1% chance of survival. He was our mentor and cheerleader during that time, giving us hope, strength and expanding our village. Since then, Jeff Warren has been a family friend and a hero to thousands as he founded the Huntsman 140 race to cure cancer. My dad and a devoted crew of cyclists have ridden their bicycles by Jeff’s side from Reno to SLC for a decade, pausing to write the names of those who have battled cancer on the highest mountain pass. Jeff succumbed to cancer’s devastating side-effects during Thanksgiving dinner with his family, leaving behind his loving wife Janet, daughters, sons, grandchildren, and an angelic son who has special needs and will require lifelong care.
I would love to help pay forward every good thing Jeff and his family have given each of us who had the pleasure of knowing him, participated in the Huntsman 140, or received encouragement or care as a result of his magnificent fundraising efforts to crush cancer. We’re still killing cancer, Jeff! Allow us to take care of your family as you have taken care of ours.
