I'm raising money in aid of MILLFIELDS COMMUNITY SCHOOL, HACKNEY, for a Hall Projector to replace the one in our Hall, and every donation will help.
We are a large Primary School in the heart of Hackney and serve a diverse community in East London. Millfields is a much larger than average primary school. The school serves an area of significant deprivation. Its pupils represent a wide range of ethnic backgrounds, with the largest groups being those of Asian, White, Black Caribbean and Black African heritage.
Millfields Community School has been a UNICEF Rights Respecting School since 2004 and was re-accredited for the third time with Gold Level in July 2017. The UNICEF UK Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) is based on principles of equality, dignity, respect, non-discrimination and participation. The RRSA seeks to put the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of a school’s ethos and culture to improve well-being and develop every child’s talents and abilities to their full potential. A rights-respecting school is a community where children’s rights are learned, taught, practised, respected, protected and promoted. Young people and the school community learn about children’s rights by putting them into practice every day.
Despite these uncertain times, we have worked hard to support our families through the pandemic and continue to seek the very best for our children and community. We really need to replace at least one projector in our school hall (we have 3 halls), which is in constant use for a whole range of activities, assemblies, workshops and performances, and our current Top Hall projector is out of action...
Thank you in advance for contributing to this cause which means so much to me and will make a massive difference to our children's experiences in school.
As the school is not set up for PayPal giving, and we need the money as quickly as possible, I am collecting and then donating 100% of the funds raised here directly to the school.
