Our Grandmothers Fund
Donation protected
Goal/Passion For The Project: To give condolences and prayers to our beloved grandparents who passed away due to diseases. To shed light on the great memories and moments we shared with our loved ones. To inform others about the diseases and to show support to those charities and support groups that help surround our project. To let Rangi, Nana and Papa, know we are thinking about them and will always have them in our hearts.
Ranganayaki Rajan, lovingly known as “Rangi” to VJ, passed away from Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a rare branch of Leukemia, after battling it with integrity and grace since 2015. Fifty percent of this fund will be donated to a Patient Advocate Foundation targeted towards assisting patients with their co-payment for visits to the physician and hospital. Rangi benefitted through these funds while receiving treatment for her condition at hospitals and clinics in the US, and in her memory, we want others like her to get access to copayment support and access to care.
Sally Coggins, lovingly known as “Nana” to Joseph, passed away from Dementia, a form of cognitive decline that impairs the memory, communication, and thinking of the brain. The other fifty percent will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA). AFA seeks to provide resources to dementia caregivers, including family education, free memory screening services, dementia care training for professionals, and support groups nationwide.
