Help Our Dear Friend Andy Get His Car Back On The Road

Hello everyone, if you're reading this it's because you've chosen to donate to help our good friend and community member andys dream car back on the road so thank you!. He had an unfortunate mishap in the car along with health issues simultaneously and is struggling to deal with both at the same time and was contemplating selling his car. Our car community M3fortysix has decided to come together to try do what we can to help raise some funds so he can atleast keep his car whilst he battles his health issues. Something to keep a smile on his face whilst having to deal with his diagnoses and not be made to sell his dream car under duress. We've set a target to to complete all repairs and make the car roadworthy again. Below are a few words from andy himself.

"Health wise I’ve been diagnosed with severe COPD and destructive emphysema. It means I get severely breathless walking more than about 20 yards, getting dressed, walking up stairs, all the day to day stuff most people obviously take for granted, it’s pretty depressing and has come on over the last couple of years but I was miss diagnosed at the start so it got worse quick. There’s no cure, just have to try and manage it.

I can no longer do all the things I used to enjoy doing either. Cars have always been my thing, The Imola Red 330Ci I had was home maintained almost entirely, in fact I think the only job I didn’t do myself was the gearbox swap, oh and a respray! it’s so frustrating and depressing not being able to do anything like that anymore. Driving that M3 was one of the few things left that I could still do and get a big smile. I could forget things for a bit and just enjoy my dream car. And it is my dream car, I wanted one when I first saw one about 20 years ago so having to let it go was such a hard decision but I couldn’t see another option."
