Hi Everyone! My name is Nikki, aka The Bestie! I am reaching out on behalf of my best friend, Laura. Some of you may already know and want to help, and for those that don't, I am here to fill you in.

Laura presented to the emergency room a couple of weekends ago after experiencing extreme abdominal pain. She was treated for her symptoms and sent home with plans to schedule an outpatient procedure to have her gallbladder removed. Fast forward a few days... she started to experience the extreme pain again while waiting on this surgery to be scheduled and ended up back in the hospital, where they then admitted her. She underwent the surgery, which typically is a quick, simple procedure... not for our girl! Her surgery took over 4 hours, and come to find out, her gallbladder was necrotic and gangrenous and came out in pieces! She was very lucky she went back in as she was borderline septic!

Fast forward another week after her surgery... she is now back in the hospital after she began vomiting and the severe pain returned! Come to find out, as they had suspected before, one of the stones escaped and has now become stuck in the "tube" that goes from her liver to her small intestine! She is now going to need to undergo a second surgery sometime today/this evening.

This has all been very overwhelming for her and stressful as most of you know, Laura is an independent contractor... she does not have a backup income! Laura would do anything for anyone at any given time if she was asked! She is the most amazing person and she just needs a break!!
