It's a Zoo out there, and sometimes your friends need a Leg Up!
Hello all!
In honor of Forrest's 50th birthday, a group of friends thought that the best gift was fish. And friendship. And perhaps a bit of financial assistance in the face of a remarkably difficult year of surgeries, strokes, hardship, and hard work.
As many of you know, Forrest has undergone life altering surgeries to his leg, inhibiting not only his ability to walk, but also his ability to leave his home.
Recently, Amy's lovely mother suffered a stroke, which has added more stress and financial hardship to Amy and Forrest's already full plate as they navigate assisting her as much as they can.
We are launching this fundraiser to help these two humans as they face not only their current situation, but the unknown future ahead. Forrest is a proud veteran of the United States Army; Amy has dedicated her life to her love for animals in her work with the Kansas City Zoo.
The funds raised will help mitigate life expenses, medical bills, and the cost of physical therapy.
Life has taken so many turns for these two, and if we can lighten their burden, even for a moment, we know they'd be immeasurably moved.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
With love,
Friends of Fo and Amy
