Help for Tiffanys Medical treatment
Donation protected
We are raising funds for our dear friend and go-giver Tiffany Chau
Update 4/15: Tiffany was able to go home this weekend! We are all so very happy for her and know she will be able to focus more on herself than work if the donations keep coming. So lets please continue to keep on giving, this is the very beginning of a new lifestyle.
Huge thank you to all that have reached out to send her some love and healing energy but let us not forget that medical bills are real and NOT cheap. She has dedicated herself to being a Full Time TopTier TC for the community and been there for so many of us answering questions and supporting many of our own journeys. It's time we GIVE BACK and start to support her as she now needs US, THE COMMUNITY. ✌ Treatments of Stage 4 can be upwards of $50-70k+ so let us help her as much as we can.
Snippet of her post:
So for the last 2 or so months I could feel my health starting to decline. My body started swelling and I have gained almost 20 lbs of water retention. I have had low energy, easily fatigued, difficulty concentrating, lack of appetite, and nausea. Due to insurance issues I kept putting off seeking medical attention hoping that it would get better on its own. Unfortunately it didn't. Today on Easter Sunday my body very clearly told me I could not wait any longer. So I admitted myself to the ER. I ran the tests. And confirmed my lupus had come back with vengeance. I don't understand all the medical terms, but in short there's extreme kidney damage, congestive heart failure, elevated potassium, anemia, amongst some other things.
For some pretext I was diagnosed with lupus nephritis around 5 years ago. Then about a year ago I was told I was in remission and started tapering down my meds. I remember crying tears of joy hearing my doctor tell me that. It's crazy how fast things can take a turn for the worst. I guess part of the reason I took so long to seek help this time around was because I was in denial. I didn't want it to be true. I didn't want more bad news. I was sick of the labs and the medication...
Recent UPDATES:
4/8: Biopsy results came back and she is at Stage 4 w/ Lupus so her Kidneys are taking quite the beating, she will now begin the journey of being on dialysis and although it will help her maintain a relatively normal lifestyle she's not out of the woods quite yet. Docs are hoping in the next couple of months things bounce back but there will be on going treatment.
Please find it in your hearts to donate what you can, no amount is too small and it all helps in some way
