RUTHS ROAD TO RECOVERY
Donation protected
As some of you may already be aware, our friend Ruth is currently awaiting a bone marrow transplant having suffered with Aplastic anaemia for a number of years.
Over the years Ruth has undergone numerous treatments to try to improve her illness including frequent blood transfusions.
Previous treatment is now no longer working which has led to her now unfortunately being unable to work whilst waiting for her transplant.
Aplastic anaemia is an illness the family know all too well as sadly a number of years ago Ruth’s own sister’s life was taken by this illness before she was given the chance of a life saving transplant.
Before Ruth’s transplant can take place she has had to have numerous teeth extracted amongst other treatment as her body can not be at risk of any infection whilst undergoing chemotherapy and having the transplant.
Ruth has now ended up very poorly in hospital with sepsis as a result of this and her life saving treatment can now not go ahead as soon as originally planned.
We are hoping to try to raise some money for Ruth and her family to help ease the financial burden of being physically unable to work for so long and to possibly help her make some unforgettable memories once the transplant has taken place.
Ruth thanks you from the bottom of her heart for all your support. She has seen each and everyone’s messages wishing her well and we are extremely grateful to anyone who can contribute no matter how little or small ❤️
