Our friend Ronnie Abrams

Hi, my name is Kathryn and I'm a dear friend of Ron Abrams.

A few weeks ago, long-time Roxborough and Manayunk resident Ronnie Abrams was diagnosed with Stage 3 esophageal cancer. Perhaps you will remember Ronnie from his days hosting, waiting tables, and tending bar at many neighborhood staples: The Ugly Moose, Ryan’s Manayunk Pub, The Manayunk Brewing Company, Winnie’s, Smokin’ John’s BBQ, and GiGi’s. Perhaps you will remember sampling some of the delicious desserts created by his wife, Joye. Or perhaps you will remember seeing him strolling the streets on one of his many walks.

Ronnie is facing several challenging treatments and surgeries, a lengthy recovery, and a sober prognosis; the recovery means he will not be able to work for an extended period. Please consider donating so that Ronnie and Joye can pay their bills and remain in their apartment in the upcoming months.
