Our friend Ron Raiford needs our help!

Some of you know Ron Raiford as a graduate of Dexter High School Class of 1978 or maybe as a lifelong Dexter resident and leader in the community. Perhaps you know him as the guy who takes pictures at sporting events or at homecoming and posts them for you to enjoy. Maybe you know him as the guy who tied your Christmas tree to the roof of your car. His support of the Dexter community through his Facebook posts, his promotion of local businesses through ShopDexter.com and his leadership in the Dexter Lions Club for 10 years have touched countless people in a wide variety of ways here in Dexter.

 

In early April, Ron was diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer. Over the coming months, he will face unexpected and undetermined medical bills and lost wages.  A couple of the side effects of cancer treatment are fatigue and compromised immune system - for these reasons, he will continue to work from home and will have to reduce his working hours.  For those of you who don't know - Carol Hutsko is named as a beneficiary.  She and Ron have been together for 28 years.  Carol is Ron's primary caregiver and will be paying Ron's expenses with the donated funds.

 

People like Ron don’t come around often.
