Our friend, Lewi Abraha

In January 2023, 11 year old Lewi Abraha was diagnosed with cancer - Nasopharyngeal carcinoma, to be more specific. Since then, Lewi has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy treatment at Toronto’s Sick Kid’s Hospital and in the coming weeks he will be moving to Cincinnati with his mom to begin radiation treatment. Lewi will be staying in Ohio for two months.

Lewi is a star player for Toronto High Park FC’s under 12 team. He’s been playing for THPFC since he was seven and he’s a cherished member of the club. His parents are Michael & Merhawit and he has two younger brothers - Noah & Sam. Noah, aged 10, also plays for the club and six year old Sam claims to be the best soccer player in the family!

This fundraising appeal is to support Lewi and his beautiful family during their hour of need. Lewi’s teammates, coaches and friend’s all miss him and can’t wait to have him back on the field and in our day to day lives.
