My name is Maddie Fagundes and I am raising money to support my good friend Jose. My family hired him to take care of our yard two years ago and he & his wife Olivia have become part of our family. My children light up when they see Jose's truck pull in the driveway. He always greets them with a smile, a hug, and a special candy treat. He has become like a grandpa to my children and calls them, "my grandbabies." Jose has a deep love for people and animals. A few months ago he was driving to another job from ours and found a puppy dumped on the side of the road. He kept the dog and named him "Coco." He rides around with Jose every day and even takes lawnmower rides.

Since the beginning of August, Jose has been in the hospital after developing pneumonia. Recently, the doctors discovered fungus is growing in his lungs and are treating him for a severe lung infection. He is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment until his oxygen levels are stable and he regains strength. His wife has taken off work to be at his side and praying for our good Lord to heal Jose.
