My name is Melissa and I'm a close friend and client of Jaada's. I am reaching out to let you know that on January 17, 2023, Jaada was hiking with her friends and her dog Tru when a moose charged them. As Jaada tried to escape from the moose, she became entangled in thick brush, which caused a serious break of her tibia. She was unable to move and was stuck on the trail for over five hours. Her boyfriend dragged her down the trail until search and rescue arrived and retrieved her. The tibia break is extremely serious and requires multiple surgeries. When the surgeries are complete, she will need nine months of rigorous physical therapy. Jaada has devoted her career to fitness and keeping her clients strong and healthy. While she recovers this year, she will be unable to teach, train, or resume work. Many have been reaching out to ask how they can help. I am creating this "gofundme" with the hope that we can help her make ends meet as she will be without pay all year. She also, of course, faces massive medical bills. Anything we can do to help ease the financial burden will allow our friend to focus on healing. Her family has shared with me that Jaada is grateful beyond measure for the love she has received from all of you this week. Words cannot describe how thankful she is for each and every one of you. Jaada is an inspiration and a bright light to so many of us. She has always been there for me, and I suspect for you, too. Thank you so much for being there for her now in this terrifying time.
