Stand with Eliza Richards in Her Fight Against Metastatic Breast Cancer

Eliza Richards is a beloved friend, sister, daughter, and radiant soul who is facing one of life’s toughest battles — metastatic breast cancer. Despite the immense challenges, she continues to fight with courage, grace, and unwavering hope.

Eliza is currently undergoing chemotherapy every three weeks. Recently, she received heartbreaking news: the cancer has spread to her brain. This means she now needs an additional, highly specialized treatment — a form of chemotherapy delivered directly into her brain through a device called an Ommaya Reservoir.

This new treatment is intense and demanding. It begins with weekly sessions for 8 weeks, then gradually decreases in frequency over time — monthly, then bi-monthly, and eventually yearly. Each visit requires Eliza to travel over an hour each way, all while navigating the debilitating side effects of chemo.

As her health has declined, Eliza has had to stop working. The financial strain of ongoing medical care, travel expenses, and day-to-day needs has become overwhelming.

We’re launching this fundraiser to help ease some of that burden — to cover transportation costs, medical expenses, and give Eliza the gift of focusing on healing without the weight of financial stress.
