Hi, my name is Rachel and myself and Johns skating family have created this page with his family’s blessing to fundraise for our wonderful friend and much beloved ice skating coach John . There are no words to describe how heartbroken we feel and the loss this has had upon us all. John was taken far too soon and we would like to honour him and have a special place we can all go to by fundraising for a memorial bench for him.

John not only trained himself as a child at Whitley bay ice rink , he was also a coach to many at the ice rink for a significant number of years and we all have our own special treasured memories- ones that we will never forget and continue to share .

We would honestly appreciate any support from you all in fundraising for this, this means so much to us, his skaters, his friends and his family.

We will hold on to you John and never forget you, your love, your time and what you did for each of us. We will continue to share your stories and your skating, legacy and friendship will forever live on in each of us. Special handshakes and fist bumps forever
