Our Fight for Millie Steenstra

Hi, My name is Sarah Munson and I am dear friends with the Steenstra Family. I have created this fund in the hopes to help my friends and their fight for their daughter.

This is Emily Megan, or our little Millie. Millie is the youngest daughter of Elizabeth and Dan Steenstra.

Millie is 8 months old and was born with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. In simple terms, she was born without the connections between the left and right hemispheres of her brain. Like a handshake between the two sides, those connections help our brain work smoother and more efficiently.

It is an obstacle that is survivable, but has some lifelong symptoms like seizures.

Late last week Millie suffered a significant seizure and was transported to University of Vermont Medical Center. Millie is currently sedated and stabilized, but she is far from home and could use your help.

Millie has been getting great medical care and has had the first of what are to be multiple MRIs. As we all know, these costs increase quickly.

Millie is a fighter and a precious little girl who deserves the chances we sometimes take for granted.
