Our Father's Life-Saving Cancer Medicine
Donation protected
In August 2020, our father, Andrea Ferrara, was diagnosed with mouth and neck cancer.
He underwent surgery and radiotherapy, but after a year of treatment, the cancer came back, metastasising into Stage 4 bone cancer.
Since then, he has been undergoing hormone therapy but unfortunately, the cancer is progressing.
His doctors have been considering him undergoing chemotherapy with a potentially life-saving medicine called Herceptin.
Unfortunately, Herceptin is not funded by the NHS for bone cancer metastases, so the only option left is to fund it privately.
After consulting his oncologists and other doctors, they have all said that Herceptin will most likely save his life by working against his HER2-Positive cancer.
As a family, we cannot afford the cost of Herceptin privately - an annual total of £25,000.
But more importantly, as a family, we cannot afford the cost of losing our father.
That is why we ask for your help in donating whatever you can to help fund our father's treatment.
We have exhausted nearly all our options, so we come to ask for your help.
Please give what you can; every penny is a step towards us being able to save our father.
We thank you for taking the time to read this, and we thank you for your generosity.
From his sons,
Massimo (15) and Alexandro (12)
