I don't know how or really where to start this. I've never once done a Gofundme, I've never asked for help or a handout or donation or however you want to put this. All I can say is that life doesn't give you much time to prepare for a sudden loss. When our father went into the hospital with covid we hoped for the best outcome, sadly, things didn't turn out the way we hoped they would and we lost the patriarch of our family.
Some of you guys, my close friends from highschool, or long time friends of mine and my brother. you guys got to know him when you would come see me or him when I lived with him and my grandparents. He was always welcoming to friends coming over or getting to know people. He was a big man, with an even bigger heart. He loved us, and he loved his grandchildren.
Sadly though, things happened so fast there wasn't a lot of time to prep or get things in order beforehand. Me, My brother, And our sister all live in different areas, myself over 400 miles from where my brother and father lived.
I didn't have money saved for something this expensive, nor did my sister or brother, nor did we know all of the things that would come with this. Having to travel to wherever we decide to have the services in southern california, moving all our fathers stuff out of an apartment last minute, and finding homes for his pets. We could use any help you can offer, even if its a hand moving things with us.
I can't describe how hard this is for us right now as I write this, knowing I just found out not long ago I wont ever get to say goodbye, or his grandchildren wont as well.
If my father ever gave you a good memory, or taught you something, or if you are just someone whos known me for a long time. I'm asking that you please share this and get the word out. We appreciate all help and good medicine sent this way.
