We started Vermillion Farms in 2022 with a dream: to build a life on the land and provide fresh, healthy produce for our community. We’ve poured our hearts and souls into building this farm from the ground up, and it’s become our passion and our home.
However, we are now facing a devastating and urgent crisis. Due to unexpected financial hardships, we were forced to secure a loan to pay our property taxes, which placed a lien on our property. The problem is, the USDA, who provided our initial farm loan, does not allow any other liens on the property. This has put us into "non-monetary default" on our main USDA farm loan.
To save our farm and get back into compliance with the USDA, we must immediately pay off the loan that created the lien. The total amount we need to raise is $47,110.66. If we can't raise these funds quickly, we will lose the farm—it's everything we've worked for and the foundation of our family's future.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community with a plea for help. Your donation will directly help us pay off this debt, clear the lien, and secure the future of Vermillion Farms. Please, help us save our home and the future we're working so hard to build. We are grateful for any support you can offer.
