My port is out!!! Bring on the next surgery! I will be having fat grafting to fill in my scars, dents, and some painful issues within and around my breasts. The fat will come from my stomach. This is going to be an expensive surgery for us. Every penny donated has gone to medical bills. We have started to use credit cards, and any savings we had, has been depleted. Daniel is working tons of overtime but the bill, surgeries, and bad luck keep coming. We still have several thousand dollars until we reach our medical deductions, so $10,000+ of this surgery will be out of pocket CASH. Part of my surgery is not covered by insurance. They consider the skin removal and tightening of my stomach after the fat grafting voluntary, costing $10,000 for that portion of the surgery. After all of the scars, pain, trauma, and money paid to our insurance plan for over 20 years, you would think this would be covered. We just haven’t been able to catch a break. In May a deer hit and totaled my van, so we had to by a vehicle with the money we received from my totaled van. Over this past weekend Daniel jeep has stopped functioning, so now we will have to get another Jeep/vehicle. We can not afford any payments right now so this time we’ll have to max out our credit cards to replace his commander. We’re staying positive, but it’s hard. Anyways, thank you all for everything you e done, and continue to do for me and our family. (Jenny )
*Update 8/14: cleaning and sale postponed due to lack of help.
*Update 8/01: Jennifer is currently in remission But their new fight has just begun…
Jenny and her family have used every penny from this fund raiser and the benefit to cover Jenny’s medical expenses. Her expenses are still coming in and they are living off of credit cards for food and necessities. Her recovery is moving much slower than expected due to recent mental health diagnoses that are in the middle of treatment. Jennifer, Daniel, and Eli are all in therapy to try to start life again. Daniel is working overtime and Jenny won’t be able to start nursing school until spring or go back to work until she is able to confidently take care of patients. Any help is appreciated. Please share with whom ever you can. And if anyone can get our story on the news we would be so grateful. They just want to get out from this massive financial burden so they can move forward with their lives. They will be having an open house yard sale with in the next few weeks. All of Daniel’s paintings will be available to buy, as well as his prints, and more will be added hourly over the course of the week. They will post when and where the event will occur. Thank you everyone who has been supportive so far, please keep sharing. Hopefully they can meet their goal and live a normal life.

My dear daughter Jennifer (age 40) and family are going through a difficult season in their life. Jennifer was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer in July 2022 and underwent a double mastectomy in September. She is currently receiving 16 rounds of infusion chemo therapy and cannot work. Her husband Dan has been working overtime while also caring for two of their four sons (age 15 and age 7 still living at home). The medical bills, care, and living expenses are adding up quickly without any income from Jennifer coming in for the last few months and in the unforeseeable future. Ironically, she had been accepted into nursing school and was scheduled to start the nursing program at SMC in September when life threw her a curve ball. We humbly ask that you donate to help Jennifer, Dan and their family get through this difficult time. Jennifer is fighting with all she’s got. Anything you can give is a blessing. Thank you!
