Our family will be relocating to Toronto

Hello, my name is Coty I’m fundraising money to help support our family as we relocate to Toronto so that our oldest son Keewaedin can get intense rehabilitation. He was admitted into TBRHSC Oct 24, 2023. He spent a great amount of time in ICU, and was in an induced coma. He was diagnosed with a rare blood bacteria, Fusobacterium Necrophorum, gram negative, he also had meningitis and had to have surgery to release the infection surrounding his brain. Unfortunately, when he had surgery to release the pressure he suffered a stroke. The past few months have been very difficult on our family and our littlest ones. So much has changed with a lot of uncertainty, as we watched our son and big brother fight such a long hard battle. We are happy to say that he is medically stable and requires intense rehabilitation. Currently, Keewaedin is only able to use his right arm, he can wiggle toes, has little movement in both his legs, slight movement in left arm. He relies on others to make sure his basic needs are being met on the daily. On his road to recovery Keewaedin has one final surgery to put prosthetic back in his skull. Keewaedin is 18 years of age with his whole life ahead of him. He’s very determined young man who can’t wait to regain his independence. We are optimistic that he will make a full recovery, with the love and support of his family by his side. Any contribution you and your family could make is greatly appreciated.
