Our Family of 7 Needs Your Help!

Hi everyone, my name is Rachel, and my husband and I are reaching out with heavy hearts, hoping for a miracle. We are a family of seven – my husband, myself, and our five wonderful children – along with our three beloved dogs. We are facing an urgent situation: we need to pay our rent by tomorrow to avoid the start of eviction proceedings.

We recently relocated our entire family here from Texas. My mental health had taken a severe downturn, and we made the difficult decision to move to Ohio to be closer to family, hoping for a stronger support system. Unfortunately, while our family here loves us, they are not in a financial position to help us with our current crisis.

Adding to our challenges, my husband has been working tirelessly to find employment since our move, but the job search has been difficult. We have applied for emergency assistance to ensure that we, along with our five children and three dogs, don't end up on the streets.

We are also members of the Journey Church community, and we reached out hoping for guidance. While they are a wonderful spiritual community, we learned that they do not have the resources to assist with emergency situations like ours. We have been praying fervently, trusting that God will provide a solution for our family.

It feels incredibly humbling and difficult to ask for help from our new community. We are not the type of people to seek handouts, and we desperately wish we weren't in this position. However, a kind member of a mom's group in Vermilion suggested we create this GoFundMe, sharing that this community is known for its incredible generosity and willingness to support one another in times of need.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to our family right now. It would directly go towards paying our rent and keeping a roof over our children's heads. It would allow us to breathe a little easier and continue focusing on my healing and my husband's job search, knowing our family is safe. if we get enough donations we would pay 2 months of rent so we have the time to get established at a new job and on our feet.

my husband has a working interview and I have 3 next week so any money also will help go to transportation and gas, also groceries for our family since we currently are not employed.

we also need help with our deposits to change or gas and electric into our name, now out landlord doesn't want us paying through them we have to do it directly!
