We never imagined or did we want to be in this position where we would have to ask for help, but after a devastating house fire, our family has lost our home, our belongings, and the place where we felt safe.

In a matter of moments, everything we worked so hard for was gone.

This tragedy has been especially heartbreaking for our grandson who has resided there his whole life who is autistic and struggles deeply with sudden change, loud events, and losing his familiar surrounding. His home was his safe space, his comfort, and his routine and now that has all been taken from him.

Watching him try to understand what has happened has been one of the hardest things we have ever faced as a family.

We are currently trying to rebuild our lives from nothing. Clothes, furniture, school items, medical needs, and everyday essentials were all lost in the fire. Starting over feels overwhelming, but we are doing everything we can to stay strong for our family.
