Our Family Lost a Loved One and Needs Help
Donation protected
Our family is in need of anyone that can help.
Hailey and Nathan, our younger brother and sister's dad, Orlando, had a tragic fall on New Year's Eve. It left a contusion on the back of his head which led to severe brain damage. That evening he was rushed to the hospital and died twice in the ambulance. They found out he had COVID which led to severe seizures and lack of oxygen to his brain. He was put into a medically induced coma and a ventilator breathing 100% for him.
Since then, Hailey who is 21, has been dealing with an overwhelming amount of legal forms, court appearances, and working with his family who live in Mexico and need a translator. Nathan who is 19, was stationed in Japan with his Marine squad and had to leave early to be with his sister and say his goodbyes.
At the same time, they received the update from the doctor stating that all the tests show no response with brain activity when they've taken him off sedatives. And once they remove him from the ventilator his body will only survive 4-7 days. Thankfully, they were able to see him and say their goodbyes. Today, he was moved to Hospice where he will stay until the time he passes in the next week.
Hailey and Nathan need help with expenses to not only provide for funeral costs in the United States, but they will be transporting his body back to Mexico to be near his family. For a headstone, place of burial, transportation, a service here, and legal bills, the expenses are rising. Their dad was young and his death was completely unexpected and with that, there was nothing set aside for this type of situation.
Our hearts are mourning for the loss of Orlando and for our siblings who are left without their father. Orlando loved the Lord and was raised by a mom who had a strong faith in God, so we have peace in our hearts knowing they will see him again, though the pain is deep right now.
If you can support them financially, it would greatly help in the next coming weeks as they face the reality of their dad's passing and all the details to follow. Your prayers, love, and support are greatly felt through this process. We all thank you in advance for your generous support.
Thank you,
Nichole and family
