Our dear family friend, Hector, is facing an unexpected emergency and we are asking for help to support him. Hector is a 19-year-old student, a talented classical viola player, singer, actor, and all-around wonderful person. He has suddenly become homeless because his parent unexpectedly left in January for their country of origin (migration-related). Hector was left no funds for rent for the two-bedroom apartment he called home, or any expenses at all, and will be evicted at the end of this month. He's working for Instacart to meet day-to-day expenses.

We would like to support Hector in finding a safe place to stay and in getting on track to finish college. He is currently in his second year. We want to help him to pay for summer housing in the Montclair State University dorms ($2700), his vehicle registration ($59) (so he can continue with his Instacart job), repay a friend from whom he borrowed rent ($1700), repay a charge MSU says he owes (the amount is not clear since he is on a Pell Grant), and get him set in the dorms for next semester.
