We will cycle from Oldcastle Co Meath to the Down Syndrome Centre North East in Carrickmacross Co Monaghan, which will be 54kms on Saturday 7th May, leaving Oldcastle Square at 9.15, weather permitting.

 

Derek my husband will be towing our son Emmet aged 6, who has down syndrome and I will be towing our daughter Fia who is aged 4, on the cycle.

 

Emmet attended the early intervention in the Down Syndrome Centre North East and they offer a range of activities and information seminars for families like ours in Cavan, Louth, Meath and Monaghan.

Down Syndrome Louth Meath provides support and information to over 350 families with Down syndrome in the counties of Louth & Meath. Down Syndrome Ireland LouthMeath Branch is run on a voluntary basis by parents of children with Down syndrome.

 

Both organisations have been such help to Emmet's development. And we want to give a little back to both organisations who offer these supports to Emmet and other families like ours.
