Hi Everyone. This is Kylo, our three-year-old Female Siberian Huskey. I am writing because she was involved in a hit-and-run accident Thursday night in Miami, FL. She is a beautiful, full of life, compassionate girl and is like a daughter to our family.

Our poor baby is in so much pain and cries out any time she tries to move. We took her to the ER Thursday night, where she received IVs and a whole body check-up. It was a miracle to see her survive this horrific event. They were able to stabilize her and let us know they could not feel any immediate breakage or fractures, but X-rays could only confirm this. They released her and let us take her home under strict supervision and 24/7 medication. That first night was long and sleepless as no position made her comfortable. We took her to the vet in the morning, they conducted X-rays, and a fracture on the last vertebrae of her spine was found. They suggested there may be neurological damage as her eyes had red specks in them and trauma to the head. We took her to a specialist as soon as we could, and they recommended MRIs/CAT Scans and possibly surgery to follow.

They let us know that we could take her home to observe, but her best option would be surgery. Our home care is rigorous, and we must follow many precautions as she cannot lift herself or bear to stand on her front legs with support. We have a follow-up appointment to reassess.

Since the moment she has fallen in the video, she has been unable to get up. We have also been trying to find this car/person that would hit an animal and not even have the compassion to stop to check on their well-being.
