PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO READ MOST RECENT UPDATE…..
Some of you know that Loraine Mayes has been diagnosed with cancer and is in urgent need of radical surgery - (on her mouth, tongue & neck) to address a large spot that has been misdiagnosed for years! And those of you who know Loraine, know she is a hard working single mom with six kids - and not really one to ask for help )which is why we, her friends are reaching out on her behalf).
One thing you may not know is that Loraine has been living in constant pain for the past several months. This has really taken its toll on her, making it nearly impossible for her to do her work (which she loves) as a painting contractor. Not only that, she just learned that her pending mouth surgery will result in a long and difficult recovery before she can even consider working again. So with all of this in mind, Loraine has (somewhat reluctantly) agreed to allow family and friends to come along side her to pitch in and help during this time of great need.
As you can imagine, Loraine's recent journey has caused some emotional ups and downs but through it all, her faith and spirit have grown stronger than ever! In spite of having no health insurance, God has proven Himself faithful. But financial gifts from friends & family will be critical to help sustain Loraine and her children over the next few months. Without a doubt, our gifts are needed & will be a huge encouragement to Loraine and her kiddos throughout their season of need!
So first, please be praying for Loraine’s health, her family & this entire situation! God is sovereign! We know He can (AND DOES) heal people. Please pray for her complete healing!!!
Second, please pray & consider making a financial gift to help our sister in need. Her family will need help by way of monthly support until Loraine can return to work.
Finally, please spread the word about this opportunity to support our friend. I’ve learned that most people tend to be generous in a situation like this, but they cannot help if they don't know the need exists.
On behalf of Loraine and her family, thank you all so very much in advance!
