Help Patrick fight against cancer

Hello everyone!

we are making this go fund me page because our dearest friend Patrick had a seizure the other night that has caused him his ability to gather words and speech. He has been in and out of the hospital frequently and it is now at the point where we are asking for help. They are still working on trying to figure out what’s caused this but I can tell you that they have been trying to figure it out since his heart attack a few years ago. Ever since his stint surgery, everything has gone downhill for Patrick’s health. He has lost so much weight where he is at about 65 pounds right now. His medications are overwhelming and just 4 out of 8 of his medications cost him 400 dollars a month. His former work place has stopped paying him long term disability for months now and Patrick has been struggling to pay these by himself, living alone with most of his family back home in Montreal. He has had a very rough few years and no one has told him directly what is going on medically until earlier this afternoon when our Patrick was told that he has cancer cells in his liver/lunges, blood clots in his heart/vein, and possibly not long to live. Clearly these have resulted in his speech struggles and severe weight loss. It is now at the point where something must be done and by doing this go fund me, hopefully we can gather some funds for Patrick and his road to recovery and he can have some financial ease. Patrick is the most loving, compassionate, giving, human being I have ever known and he would do it for us in a heart beat, no questions asked but he would not be to happy about others helping him because it is in his nature to give and not take. Thats where we come in. Asking for help.

Watching Patrick go through this has been extremely hard but yesterday was crushing. we knew we had to ask for help from everyone. If you have had the opportunity to know and have Patrick’s beautiful soul in your life then you know. I can tell you right now that this man changed my life the day I met him and he continued to do so throughout my years. We love him with all of our hearts and we know you do too! Patrick has been there for many of us in different ways and if you got to know Patrick then you know you were very lucky to have him in your life. He has left an indelible mark on all of us and right now he needs any help he can get.

and maybe just maybe, if we all pitch in together to help him be comfortable in his bed at the hospital, his financial struggles with medications…

he can make it home to be comfortable in his own bed and get to be with his friends, family and loved ones.
