My name is Holly Fisher Bidwell and together with the team at the Commercial Hotel Morpeth we have joined together to raise funds for our dear friend and hotel chef Raj Kumar Bhatta who has faced the unimaginable loss of his family in Nepal, as a result of the recent catastrophic floods.

We are devastated to learn that Raj has lost his mother, brother, sister in law, and 4 year old nephew.

His village, Tupche 7, Sole bazaar had around 60 homes which all collapsed in the flood, with around 80 people still missing.

When news broke of the destructive floods, Raj immediately went to Nepal with his wife and 2 year old daughter as he was not able to make contact with his family in Nepal. He remains in Nepal dealing with the aftermath of his personal loss, and the destruction of his Nepalese village.

We invite donations for Raj to help him at this extremely difficult time in his life.

Donations to this GoFundMe page will be received into the Commercial Hotel Morpeth business trading account, and will be passed in full to Raj Kumar Bhatta every two days to ensure he receives support immediately. Our business accountant will verify our financial report at the completion of this fundraising campaign, to demonstrate that all monies received for Raj, have been forwarded in full to his bank account.
