Our dear friend Mary Alloy has been an important part of Western New York for many years. Many customers simply know her as Mary from Just Pizza and have come to love her because of her kind smile and her ability to make you seem part of her family.
This week Mary and her family received devastating news - she was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma. With a limited number of known cases and bleak survival rate, Mary needs aggressive treatment. A treatment that will be expensive. We are asking for your help and support of this kind, caring, generous woman.
She was a supportive stay at home mother of four children - Charlie, Amy, Stacey and Alex - who always had a love for her community. In 2007, she opened Just Pizza in Amherst, on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Since that day her generosity has touched so many. Mary’s love of animals is well known and if you visit her home you will find many adopted animals from various local shelters that make her smile. Mary has used the business to help her furry, four-legged friends find good homes. You may recall Mary was the original business to work with the Niagara County SPCA attaching the faces of animals in need of homes to pizza boxes. She has also donated to and supported other shelters including the Erie County SPCA and Buffalo Animal Shelter. When you walk into Just Pizza you can’t help but notice the donation boxes that litter the counter top. But her efforts don’t stop there, her donations of food and door prizes to the various events these organizations hold has helped over 200 animals find their forever homes.
Mary’s generosity doesn’t stop with furry friends, throughout Covid-19 she donated food to area hospitals and fire stations to help feed our frontline workers and first responders. In addition, she has supported local schools by offering pizzas at a reduced rate for fundraisers to help clubs and sports teams for many of our children.
We are hoping you will help support Mary Alloy and her family as they have helped many of us during our times of need. All funds will be deposited into my own account. I will withdraw the funds and give them to Mary for her medical expenses
