Our Dear Friend Joanne!

Hi, my name is Shannon Martin, and I, as well as Joanne's lovely friends, have started this GoFundMe for Joanne Revell and her family. Joanne Revell is a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Joanne has always taken charge when it came to friends and family in need so we are doing the same for her. Joanne's husband, Anthony, is unable to work due to his own health issues and Joanne is the sole provider for her family. Their son Tristan is still very young, and the impact of his parent's health has been heavy. Joanne has been experiencing back pain for several months, being sent home from the hospital and told by doctors, "It's nothing. Just a pinched nerve or muscle spasm." On October 4, 2022, she was admitted to Garnet Hospital after an MRI revealed a tumor was pressing on her spine, causing her to lose feeling in her lower half. Joanne was booked for emergency surgery. During surgery, they attempted to remove the tumor but were unsuccessful as she had a pulmonary embolism. Doctors provided CPR for 30 minutes and luckily, brought her back to us. Joanne is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), fighting for her life. Joanne is going to have a tough recovery; but she is TOUGHER! The future is unknown at this time, as now it is a waiting game. We are raising money to help her family stay above water while she continues fighting.
