Anyone who knows Romano knows what kind of person he is. He has always been a hard worker — a true machine! No challenge was ever too big, no day too long. He carried an energy and drive that inspired everyone around him. He was the kind of person who always helped others without ever asking for anything in return.

Today, he is facing the hardest battle of his life.

In 2023 he was diagnosied with an incurable muscle challenge that forced him to move from Svalbard to Oslo, to be able to get the help he needed. From that time he started to loose the ability to move and all of his muscles started deteriorating. To be able to get the help he needs he now lives in a neurological institution.

The cost for the institution, the apartment he still has with his wife, and what they make together, Romano from Nav, and Valeriia working almost full time, the money just isn’t enough.

The medical treatments he needs are extensive and ongoing, and the costs have quickly become overwhelming. No one should have to worry about bills while fighting for his life, yet this is the reality he and his wife are facing right now.
