Hi My name is Abigail I am 26 years old I’m a mum to a beautiful 3 year old girl named Ayla and want to share my child story. At just 6 months old, our daughter was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer known as BCOR-ITD sarcoma — a diagnosis that changed our lives instantly.
Throughout 2024, she underwent an intensive year of chemotherapy with remarkable courage and resilience. Following treatment, we were relieved and grateful to be told she was in remission.
However, on March 11, 2026, a tumour was identified, and she required surgery to have it removed. Subsequent testing has confirmed the presence of active cancer cells, meaning further urgent treatment is now required.
Our daughter has been recommended to undergo specialised proton radiotherapy — an advanced and highly targeted form of treatment that offers the best chance of eliminating the remaining cancer cells while reducing long-term side effects. Unfortunately, this treatment is not available locally, and we must travel to the United States, Florida to access it.
We will need to remain overseas for approximately two months or more depending on her health while she undergoes treatment and recovery. This presents significant financial challenges for our family, including the cost of international travel, accommodation, daily living expenses, and ongoing medical-related needs.
We are reaching out to ask for support during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward ensuring our daughter can receive the critical care she needs and easing the financial burden on our family.
We are committed to doing everything possible to give our daughter the best chance at a healthy future. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean more to us than words can express.
Thank you for standing with our family and supporting us to get our daughter better again.
