Our sweet girl, Rio, has always been full of life, smart, funny, and stronger than she even knows. For the longest time, she had no symptoms at all. She would just say her feet got tired easily when she stood or walked too long, nothing that seemed too serious.

Then, a few days before her doctor’s appointment, she turned pale. That’s when we knew something was wrong. We went in for tests, and that’s when our world changed. Leukemia.

She still aced her exams the day before. That’s just who she is: determined, hardworking, never one to give up, even when her body was already fighting something big inside.

Now she’s facing a battle no child should ever have to fight. Her treatment will take around three years, and it breaks her heart to pause her studies. But even through the fear and uncertainty, she’s been so brave, so strong, so incredibly resilient.

We’re sharing her story to spread awareness of how cancer can appear quietly without warning, even in those who seem perfectly healthy.
