Friends … Family … Loved Ones … Everyone,

 

We need your help. Desperately.

 

My beautiful daughter Kathy (Katey) – a dancer, DJ, entrepreneur and marketer – had a hysterectomy 3 years ago.

 

She was told the surgery meant her recurring cervical cancer that she’d been having procedures on for the better part of the last DECADE would finally be eliminated.

 

After the hysterectomy, what were the odds of any cancer returning? We were told less likely than being struck by lightning.

 

Fast forward to May of this year. She gets an urgent notice that her doctor needs to see her immediately. They sit down, he shrugs his shoulders and tells her dryly …

 

“It came back.”

 

3 years of freedom. 3 years of happiness. 3 years of thinking she'd defeated practically the worst disease known to mankind. 3 years of thinking about a cancer-free future. GONE.

 

Think that’s the twist? You’d be wrong. She was also told …

 

“Nodules were found in your lungs and we’re concerned it’s metastasized cancer.”

 

You’re telling us not only was she struck by lightning, but she was struck by lightning TWICE??

 

She has been closely monitored for the past 4 months while enduring many appointments to different doctors (oncologists, lung specialists, radiation doctors, etc.), with insurance not NEARLY covering as much as you’d think, and now it's time for us to act. So here we stand.

 

To give our daughter/friend/DJ the best chance possible of beating this cancer AGAIN, we’re looking at  combining conventional treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation at UC San Diego Moore's Cancer Center with Integrative Oncology/holistic healing methods at Cancer Center for Healing in Irvine, CA (no insurance coverage). And the expenses are adding up, beyond what we can afford.

 

So here we are, asking for your help. Your kind donations will go towards the following:

•medical expenses and appointments

 

•potential housing (since her chemotherapy and radiation will be done over the course of several weeks at a hospital too far for daily commute)
