Our daughter came early- and we weren’t prepared.

My name is Ryan, and I’m from Onion Lake, Saskatchewan. On June 4th, my wife’s water broke unexpectedly at 33 weeks, and we were immediately sent to Saskatoon’s Jim Pattisons Childrens Hospital so she and our baby girl could receive proper care. After weeks in the hospital, our daughter was born June 23rd at 36 weeks, she was born with a tongue tie and will most likely need a procedure done if it becomes a problem with feeding.
Little back story my son and I stayed at the Victoria House in Saskatoon since June 5th, living off what was left of my last paycheck, some help from Emergecy and some family (grateful for what they could help with), on the other hand during that time wife was on I.V, taking antibiotics/steroids, monitoring baby, making sure she had no infections from water being broken, until wife was in the safe zone and discharged from the hospital on June 13th, we were offered to stay at Ronald MacDonald house here by the Jim Pattisons Childrens Hospital, where nurses came in and did daily check ins on the wife, as of right now I’m here with our toddler while my wife recovers in hospital, nurses say probably be here another week or two while they monitor our baby girl, I’ve been off work since June 3rd, and I’m the sole provider for our family.
Because everything happened so fast, we didn’t have time to prepare- have no newborn clothes(have a few clothes we bought, but they are too big at this time), no diapers, wipes, bassinet/crib set, car seat.. We had planned to start prepping this month with a baby shower, but our daughter had her own plans.
Being three hours from home,not working, falling behind on bill payments, and trying to keep our toddler cared for while balancing food, gas, parking, and basically need food for RJ as he is also in need of special foods, as he has allergies to milk, wheat, oats and eggs, we’re in a tough spot. I'm not someone who usually asks for help, but right now, we could use some support.
I am giving this a try, anything helps and I appreciate all the help we can get. Hiy-hiy/Thank you.
All proceeds will go towards;
Critical bills, baby necessities, food, gas and parking.
