Our Dads Bike ride from Lands End to John 'O' Groats

On Saturday 16th August 2025, Our Dad..."Mark Gumbs" is doing a 1000 mile bike ride from Lands End to John 'O' Groats, In memory of Ste Rizzotti. The money raised will be going to Halton Haven, which is close to Ste, Jayne and the Rizzotti family's heart.

Our dad has spear-headed a charity ride for Ste since 2009, after an accident which left Ste Paralysed. This ride has brought so many people together for Ste and his family and it has been an ongoing event each year, raising money and awareness for numerous charities. The ride still continues to run despite the loss of Ste last year and still remains special to all who have ever attended.

He has now felt it is time to take on a challenge of his own. After training since January, he will be taking 2 weeks to complete this ride, aiming for at least 70 miles of cycling a day.

As he looks to complete this ride, we want to show him how proud we are and give him the recognition he deserves, as he always goes out of his way to help anyone in anyway he can, without ever wanting anything in return.
