Help Marine Veteran Richard Get Answers After a Mysterious Health Collapse

We are raising money for our dad, Richard, a proud Marine veteran and devoted father and grandfather, whose health has collapsed in a way doctors still can't explain.

After finishing R-CHOP chemotherapy for lymphoma in late 2025, and being treated with voriconazole (an antifungal medication) before his final chemo cycle, his health began to spiral. He became weak, confused, and eventually completely bedridden — now barely able to speak.

Despite multiple hospital stays, countless tests, and follow-up scans showing no active cancer, Richard continues to decline. Doctors now suspect a paraneoplastic or immune-related brain disorder — a rare condition that can occur after cancer or its treatment. He also recently developed a clear fluid leak from his right eye, which could be a serious complication involving his sinuses or brain.

Richard has always lived for his family. As a Marine, he was strong, selfless, and loyal. As a dad and grandfather, he was the kind of person who never missed a chance to help or make his grandchildren laugh. Seeing him lose his independence and his voice has been devastating for all of us.
