Our dad got scammed!

Hi, my name is April. My brother, Josh, and I wanted to start a fundraiser to help our dad. My dad was scammed for $8000 days before his 79th birthday. The scammer used AI to make our dad think his grandson was in trouble and had been arrested. He needed bail money in order to not stay overnight in jail. With AI, my dad said it sounded exactly like his grandson. So, of course, he runs to the bank and withdraws money from his account.

My dad is so upset by what happened. He withdrew what cash he could because he thought his grandson needed help. This breaks my heart to see ANYONE get scammed, especially the elderly and especially when it's one of my loved ones.

We thought we could try to help him get some money back in his savings account so he doesn't have to stress about what he's going to do. If you could help at all, we would greatly appreciate ANYTHING. Prayers are welcome, too. We want to bring awareness to whoever we can reach, and don't want this to happen to anyone else. Life is hard enough without these scammers making it worse!

If we miracously are able to reach goal, anything above $8000 will be donated to a senior advocacy group!
