Last Wednesday my mom called 911 as my dad was in excruciating pain and couldn't move. An ambulance took him to the ER, and the next day he was transported to Sacramento due to a fractured C2 vertebrae. While going through multiple X-rays and CT scans to plan for neck surgery, they discovered that his left carotid artery was blocked 80% and he was days away from a major heart attack. They also found cancer in 4 areas. The cancer was discovered in his bones, including his C2 vertebrae and rib, as well as his liver and hip.

As of today, he has had surgery to clear his artery which thankfully went well. He has also had a liver biopsy to determine the type of cancer and what the plan for treatment will be. In about a week he will have his 1st, 2nd and 3rd vertebrae's fused together to stabilize his neck and by then we will know his cancer prognosis and treatment plan.

My dad has a long road of fighting and recovery ahead of him, and with that comes lots of medical bills. The hospital is already hounding my mom for payment info.

I know it's the holidays, and quite frankly, another crazy year due to the pandemic, but if you can help my parents with any monetary donations they would be so thankful. If you can't give money, please say a prayer for my father and ask for strength to fight.
