Our friend and colleague, Marlene Steiner, needs our help. Marlene has just recently been diagnosed with late-stage ovarian cancer. She begins chemotherapy treatment as I type this today (8/18) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by surgery and more chemo after that. The road ahead will be long and difficult. Her positive mindset, incredible sense of humor and dedication to her family are beyond admirable in this challenging time.

Marlene is a single mom to a high school age son and daughter. At a time when they should be enjoying their last years at home and thinking about college applications, they are worried about their Mom. Marlene is also the sole caregiver for her own 96 year-old Mother, a Holocaust Survivor. Marlene recently relocated her Mom back to New York to care for her. Now, those plans are impacted by Marlene’s own health.

Marlene is a 30-year veteran of New York City real estate. She has worked at several of the City’s leading firms, having joined Compass in 2018.
