Help us hatch some hands-on learning!

Hi! My name is Yeji, and I’m a first-grade teacher in New Jersey.

In September, I brought a monarch butterfly project into my classroom, and it was absolutely magical. My students were amazed as they watched the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly — it was a hands-on experience that sparked curiosity, empathy, and wonder.

Now, I want to give my students another unforgettable experience in the spring: the chance to hatch and care for baby chicks in our classroom through a wonderful program called Rent The Chicken.

The best part about this program is that it provides everything we need — the incubator, the eggs, and all the supplies — and once the chicks hatch, they’re safely rehomed on local farms. This means my students get to experience the full life cycle without the worry of what happens next.
