My name is Liz, and I’m raising funds to help pay for repairs to my significant other’s car after it was broken into in the city of Chicago.

My significant other and I have both worked in the nightlife and entertainment industry in Chicago for several years—me for the past 9 years and him for the past 5 years. We carpool into the city on weekends from Northwest Indiana to pursue our careers and passions in the entertainment industry.

This evening, after finishing work, my significant other walked back to his car and unfortunately discovered that it had been broken into. The vehicle was damaged, and sentimental items of value were unfortunately stolen as well. Beyond the financial loss, it has been incredibly upsetting to have personal belongings taken from us in such a heartbreaking and unexpected way.

We are doing our best to handle everything ourselves, but the unexpected cost of repairing the vehicle and replacing what was stolen has become overwhelming. We rely heavily on this car to get to and from work, especially since we commute from Northwest Indiana to Chicago every weekend.
