Our Bus, Their Future: Help Us Get 30 Kids to School

Right now, 30 children in Bangalore are missing out on specialist learning support, not because they do not qualify, but because they cannot get there.
Parikrma Humanity Foundation runs four schools. Only one has the Next Steps Center for Learning (NSCL) a program built for children aged 10 and up with identified additional learning needs, offering a tailored curriculum and specialist teachers found nowhere else across the four schools. Children from the other schools have to travel there, and one school has no dedicated bus. Today, that means a bus journey of more than an hour each way, a two hour round trip, just to reach the support they need.
Last year, thanks to donors like you, Akka Project helped build an outdoor classroom and a psychologist's office within the NSCL Centre, extending what tailored learning could look like for these students. This year, our goal is access: making sure every child who needs this space can actually get there.
Akka Project is raising $40,000 to purchase a dedicated bus, to collect these 30 children from their homes each morning and take them home safely each afternoon. As Parikrma puts it, this daily journey protects them, especially the girls, from unsafe travel. Reliable transport is one of the reasons Parikrma has kept its dropout rate below 1%, one of the lowest in the country.
The same bus will also take students on excursions, to inter-school competitions, and to Oxygen, India's first nature school, run by Parikrma, opening up experiences these children currently miss out on entirely.
Akka Project is a registered Australian charity and 100% of donations go directly to this cause.
Help us reach $40,000 and get these 30 kids to school, every single day. Our bus. Their future.
